CREAM OF POTATO SOUP
1 Tbsp Bragg Organic Olive Oil
1 red onion, chop
1 carrot, chop (optional)
2 cups soy milk
3 medium-sized potatoes, chop
½ tsp Bragg Sprinkle
3 celery stalks, chop
Bragg Liquid Aminos, to taste
Chop vegetables, cook until tender. Add Bragg Olive Oil, Liquid Aminos, Sprinkle and soy milk. Blend and serve.
Serves 2.

Guidelines Call for Increase in Vitamin D
New guidelines for vitamin D call for increasing the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of vitamin D to 600 international units (IU) for everyone aged 1–70, and raising it to 800 IU for adults older than 70 to optimize bone health. The guidelines, released by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), also raised daily calcium RDAs.

PASTA WITH SOY CHEESE AND WALNUTS
1 lb pasta 3
Tbsp Bragg Olive Oil
3 cloves garlic, mince
¼ tsp Bragg Sprinkle
1 cup walnuts, chop
1 cup soy cheese, grate
Lightly sauté garlic in olive oil. Then add chopped walnuts to garlic and oil mixture. Stir for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Cook the pasta. Toss drained pasta with grated soy cheese and walnut sauce.
Serves 4–6.

HUMMUS
2 cups cooked garbanzo beans
juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp Bragg Liquid Aminos
1 cup tahini
shakes of Bragg Sprinkle
2 cloves garlic, chop
In blender, place cooked garbanzos with enough liquid to keep wet, about the consistency of peanut butter. Add tahini, garlic, lemon juice, Sprinkle and Liquid Aminos. Blend well and chill for 1 hour before serving. This makes nutritious pita sandwich spreads and tasty dips. This combination is important in a vegetarian diet since it supplies a substantial amount of vegetable protein.
Makes 2 cups.
