BEETS en ORANGE

BEETS EN ORANGE

¾ cup freshly squeezed orange juice

1¼ tsps grated orange rind

2 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil

2 Tbsps potato flour or arrowroot flour

3¼ cups cooked beets, slice

¾ cup distilled water

2 tsps raw honey

Stir potato or arrowroot flour into olive oil; add water slowly. Add orange rind, orange juice and honey. Cook until smooth and thick. While stirring, add cooked sliced beets and cook 3-5 minutes. Serves 4-6.

PARSNIP PATTIES

6-8 parsnips, thin slice

1 red onion, mince

¼ tsp Bragg Sprinkle (24 herbs & spices)

2 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil

whole-grain dry bread crumbs

Wash and cut young parsnips into thin slices. Steam in small amount of purified water until tender. Mash and add Sprinkle, olive oil and small amount of very finely minced onion. Mix well; shape into small patties. Dip and roll in whole-grain bread crumbs; place on baking sheet and bake at 350°F oven, 20 minutes. Serves 6.

ROMAINE WITH GARLIC CROUTONS

ROMAINE WITH GARLIC CROUTONS

2 heads romaine lettuce

4 thick slices whole-grain bread

3 cloves garlic

2 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil

1 Tbsp lemon juice

2 ripe tomatoes, slice

Break romaine into salad bowl. Add tomato slices. Prepare garlic bread as follows: crush garlic cloves into mixture of lemon and olive oil. Allow to stand for several minutes to infuse flavors. Meanwhile, toast whole-grain bread in oven until dry. Then brush with olive oil mixture and cut into small cubes and toss into salad. Add Bragg Organic Vinaigrette or Ginger Sesame Dressing. Serves 4.

JULIENNE BEETS, BAKED

JULIENNE BEETS, BAKED

Remove tops from six beets and save them to cook as greens. Wash medium-sized beets (do not peel) and cut into julienne strips. Put in baking dish or casserole. Add 2 cup boiling water. Bake at 350°F for 30-45 minutes with a tightfitting cover. Remove from the oven, add one teaspoon of fresh lemon or lime juice, one tablespoon of Bragg Organic Olive Oil and a dash of Bragg Liquid Aminos. Serves 4.
