TBT: Remembering Dean Potter, the Climbing Legend

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:05 PM

Throw Back Thursday — Remembering Dean Potter

2015 brought about the huge loss of climbing legend, Dean Potter in a BASE jump accident in Yosemite National Park. We are remembering him today on Throwback Thursday as a courageous man who was famous for pushing the boundaries of climbing by going up some of the world’s most daunting big walls and cliffs alone, using his bare hands and without ropes. He took the sport to an extreme level with high-lining — walking across a rope suspended between towering rock formations while wearing a parachute for safety in the event of a fall. He even took his awesome dog, Whisper with him on some of his jumps.

Here is clip from his documentary, The Man Who Can Fly. Just incredible!
