  13. I have had hip bursitis in both of my hips for 5 years and haven’t been able to find anything to get rid of it. I’ve been to 2 orthopedic doctors including mayo clinic, had pt, cortizone shots and prescribed up to 800 mg ibruphen a day. I saw on another website that some people were getting relief for their bursitis by taking ACV so I purchased my first bottle today and am taking my first drink as I sit here tonight. I’m going by the bottle and using 2 tsp plus honey or sweetner. Have you heard of any people being helped for their bursitis. I’m really desperate for some relief. Thanks, Phyllis

  21. As a school teacher I knew I needed the energy and clarity of mind to do my best. It has been more than 15 years. I just take one Tablespoon with water or juice once a day. I also carry my water bottle with me when I go out shopping or traveling. In the summer time I take a glass of water with the ACV before working in the garden. I never get too hot or sweaty. I am a firm believer in the benefits of your ACV. Thanks.

  24. I started drinking 2T ACV, 2T lime juice and a little honey with 12 oz of water. I have to say that my mid-morning and mid-afternoon hunger cravings have been curbed. It keeps me full and I fell energized. I also have no stomach trouble whatsoever and if I happen to have one too many glasses of wine, I drink a big glass to help settle things down. Trying to get my teen daughter on it to clear up some minor skin issues but she can’t get past more than a few sips due to the taste. Any thoughts? I hate to add more sweetener.

    Comment by Janet — August 29, 2013 @ 9:36 AM

  25. Hi Janet,
I am glad you are experiencing great results with the Apple Cider Vinegar Health Drink! If your daughter finds the taste unpalatable, I recommend mixing in 1/2 cup grape, cranberry, or orange juice to mask the flavor. Try our ready-made Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar Drinks in Concord Grape-Acai flavor for an idea of how delicious it can be: (available at Sprouts & Whole Foods).

Also, have your daughter try mixing 50/50 ACV and water on a cotton pad to apply to the skin externally before bed as a toner, it has wonderful results as it is a safe and all natural method of exfoliation — ACV is high in natural Alpha-Hydroxy Acids!

  27. Hi Pam, please visit for more information about Apple Cider Vinegar! Studies have shown that Apple Cider Vinegar is linked to reducing fasting blood pressure levels, and in conjunction with a healthy diet and the Bragg Healthy Lifestyle, you may see a notable difference. Especially avoid foods high in salt, sugar, saturated fats, coffee, tea, & other stimulants etc.
In my book, Apple Cider Vinegar Miracle Health System there is a section titled ‘ACV Helps Normalize Blood Pressure’ which explains the mechanics of how Apple Cider Vinegar, as a natural food acid, lessens the blood thickening influence of heavy animal proteins and aids in reducing blood pressure.

  28. I started drinking ACV all natural drink (i bought it at Frazier Farms)last Aug. 24, 2013. One of my classmates in nursing school suggested that i should try it to lower my blood pressure. I am 45 yrs. old and currently working as a caregiver to Alzheimers/Dementia residents in a memory care facility. Taking care of people with Alzheimers are truly stressful and exhausting. Not to mention, i have 5-yr old son and currently enrolled in a nursing school.

My highblood pressure started 4 months ago when i was rushed by my husband to the e.r with a blood pressure of 175/105. My doctor prescribed me triamterene and HZTC to lower my blood pressure. Yes, it works but taking these medicines makes my whole body so dry, i have no energy. Eventually, my doctor told me to stop taking it because i don’t have highblood pressure, it is only stress. Doing so, my systolic is always bet 130–145 and diastolic bet 85–97. I was taking Fish oil, vit D and garlic supplement plus hibiscus and chamomile tea but it’s still not lowering my blood pressure to a level that i want which is below 120/80.

One day, on my lunch break from school, I saw one of my classmates drinking this ready to drink Bragg ACV in a bottle. She told me that she’s drinking Bragg ACV for more than a year. It maintains her blood pressure to a normal level. Just like me, her blood pressure is always high 90s. After school, i went to Frazier Farms and bought initially 3 bottles to try. I drank it Aug 24 (saturday) and I CANT BELIEVE!!! the following day at around 4pm my blood pressure went down to 114/81!!!! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!

I can’t thank you enough for this wonderful product!!! I told my friends and family who has high blood pressure especially my mom. Unfortunately, the organic supermarket near her, Trader Joe’s, doesn’t carry your product. But i told my mom to go to your website and order.

Again, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart :)

  30. Hi; I went to one of my favourite health stores, yesterday, September 6th, 2013, to buy some health products to flatten my stomach. (ye ol’belly fat curse, don’t you know) I had taken an organic brand of apple cider vinegar before, but the lady at the store said they only carried your product. I bought a bottle, took some that same night, and again today, twice. The second time, I felt my stomach want to become flat. I felt the muscles for the first time in years. I’m going to drink a lot of it, and I believe it will make a difference to my internal organs.

    Comment by Shereen — September 23, 2013 @ 6:59 AM

  38. Hello Shereen, Apple cider Vinegar has been a tremendous help to many sufferers of acid reflux! On our Bragg Live Foods Facebook page (, we have numerous Bragg fans who have reached out to us with their wonderful results, such as one fan, who stated that “I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t experienced for my self. I have had ACID REFLUX all my adult life and have taken about every OTC and perscription med for it over the years. A week ago I started using apple cider vinegar with honey and the acid reflux is no more. Haven’t changed my diet one bit,as a matter of fact think that I may be eating more spicy foods that would normally bring on the acid refux.”

Our ACV health tonic recipe is as follows: 1–2 tsps Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in 8 oz. glass of purified or distilled water and (optional) to taste 1 to 2 tsps Organic Honey, 100% Maple Syrup, or 4 drops of herb Stevia.

    Comment by Elaine — October 15, 2013 @ 12:39 PM

  42. Hello Elaine,

ACV actually helps to treat and prevent yeast infections! In my book, Apple Cider Vinegar: Miracle Health System, I say that all yeast and fungus infections may be treated with a 50/50 solution of ACV and lukewarm water, and also by slowly drinking a warm Bragg ACV cocktail morning and night. The treatment for all yeast infections should continue for at least 10 days or until symptoms dissipate. Also, eliminate sugars, dairy, refined carbohydrates and alcohol from the diet — these are major candida triggers!

As for weight loss, Apple Cider Vinegar is a wonderful way to assist in losing weight! Comment by steve — January 24, 2014 @ 8:56 PM

  52. Hi Steve,
One may use ACV to stimulate hair growth — apply mixture of 2 Tbsps. ACV and a tiny pinch of cayenne to hair before shampooing, taking care not to get in eyes.

ACV also may be used to fix a variety of internal ailments — the recipe is: 1–2 tsps. ACV in a full, 8 ounce glass of distilled water with honey to taste. Drink this thrice daily, one hour before meals.

    Comment by Jasmine — February 1, 2014 @ 5:43 AM

  54. Hi Jasmine,

Yes! Apple Cider Vinegar can help with eczema scarring, as it contains natural Alpha-Hydroxy Acids which gently resurface the skin. Apply it diluted 50/50 with purified or distilled water, or soak in a bath with 2 cups of ACV, then immediately moisturize after getting out.

I don’t like the taste so can I tske it in a let form

    Comment by Jayanthi — February 12, 2014 @ 9:27 PM

  58. Hi Jayanthi,

I do not recommend ACV tablets as they may be processed with heat or chemicals, thus destroying the beneficial effects of the “Mother of Vinegar”. additionally, they may also become stuck in the esophagus when swallowed, which can lead to internal burning! It is much safer to stick to drinking Apple Cider Vinegar diluted in at least 8 ounces of water or juice. If the taste is too tart, mix with apple or grape juice, or even with honey and cinnamon for delicious Apple Cider drink!

I live here in Japan ‚I ordered in an online shop for 2 bottles that costs 2,080 yen each, it says that my order were from the store named AREWELL inc. based in san jose California,USA. when i receive the bottles of bragg apple cider vinegar, i notice the cap of the bottles, although it is wrapped in plastic, it is just a plain plastic cover wrapped around the cap, the plastic should have “PROTECTION SEAL “, but the ones i got are not like that, unlike what i saw in the pictures the cap is wrapped with a protection seal. that is why i am worried that what they delivered to me are FAKE and not original. please help me. how will i know if the bgagg ACV i have right now are fake or not fake. thank you

  60. Hi Sonia,

We recommend contacting Arewell with your concerns — our ACV should have “SEALED FOR PROTECTION” on the plastic wrap over the cap!

When we looked at the Arewell website, we saw that they provide Customer Support by email ( or by dialing 0120–35-4326.

If you still have questions, please feel free to call Bragg Customer Service at 1–800-446‑1990 (Monday — Friday, 8AM — 4PM Pacific Standard Time).

    We hope this helps!

  61. Several time answers stated to talk to a medical professional, the vinegar is not going to hurt you, and would most likely help. A medical professional is just going to try
to tell you not to take it, and prescribe some medicine with loads of side effects.
We would all be better off if we stuck to natural remedies.

  62. Hello MoMo!

I do believe that natural remedies or Naturopathic Medicine is safer, and I also advise people to exercise, drink only pure, distilled water, and using Organic, Raw Apple Cider Vinegar. However, as I am not a physician it is required that I state to consult a practicing medical professional for diagnosing health concerns!

  63. Hey I wa wonder if anyone has tried it for nail fungus? If so hold long did it take to see results and what did you do? Thanks for the help!’

    Comment by Neth — March 13, 2014 @ 7:02 PM

  64. Hi Neth,

In my book, Apple Cider Vinegar Miracle Health System, I say to treat nail fungus, soak the feet in ACV diluted 50/50 with lukewarm water, twice daily. For an effective night treatement, wrap nail with ACV-soaked gauze and athletic tape overnight, then apply castor-oil soaked gauze bandage during day.

  65. Can you put apple cider vinegar in herbal teas? no caffeine is in the tea.

    Comment by Charlene — September 11, 2014 @ 6:38 AM

  66. Hello Charlene, you can! We recommend adding ACV at the end, after steeping your herbal tea and cooling to below boiling. Remember, benefits of ACV are due to the presence of beneficial “Mother of Vinegar”, which is killed by heat. This is why we do not pasteurize Bragg ACV. Hope this helps! Blessings of Health, Peace & Love! Patricia.

  67. I suffer from cronic constipation — would this help my situation or has anyone has results with this ?

    Comment by April — October 26, 2014 @ 8:22 AM

  68. Hello April,
In my book, Apple Cider Vinegar — Miracle Health System, I say that it’s important that the bowels move regularly and freely! Outgo should equal intake. You should have a bowel movementsoon after arising and within an hour after meals. Flax seeds and its’ tea with ACV act as bowel lubricants, as do fresh fruits, vegetables and distilled water.

Make the ACV-Flaxseed Bowel Lubricant Mixture:
Boil two cups distilled water with 4 Tbsps. flaxseeds for 15 minutes or soak overnight. Mixture becomes jellylike when cold. Stir 2 Tbsps. of mixture, plus 1 tsp. ACV in glass of distilled water (add blackstrap molasses or honey if desired sweetened). Drink upon arising and an hour before bed. Store mixture in refrigerator and use when needed.

    For Healthy Elimination:
Use miracle Psyllium Husk Powder. Add 1 Tbsp. of this super cleansing herb to any of these: Bragg ACV drink, juice, glass distilled water, herb tea, cereals, soups, etc.; let it soak two minutes before drinking or eating! This helps cleanse mucus along small intestine and colon walls and pulls toxins from intestinal tract. Also use Bragg Organic Olive Oil over salads, veggies, potatoes, etc. – it helps elimination and detoxifies the colon, plus adds delicious flavor to foods.

When [the colon] is cleansed of toxins and malnutrition is treated, the body becomes healthier and more normal. Because constipation brings on serious health problems, including arthritis, it’s important tokeep the pipes(colon and arteries) clean and open by following The Bragg Healthy Lifestyle.

  71. Please consider adding a pour spout to the bottles of Apple Cider Vinegar. It would be so much easier to drizzle it on a dish if it had that. If not a pour spout, then something similar to the Liquid Amino’s top.

    Comment by Karen B — May 13, 2015 @ 12:50 PM

  72. Thank you for suggestion, we will consider it. You can also buy pour spouts at a local kitchen store or online. We love to do this for our bottles as well.

  73. Hi. I just bought 4 bottles of Apple cider vinegar. It has been out of stock for a couple of weeks in 3 major supermarkets that I went to. The recent bottles that I bought seem different. The color seems more yellowish than the previous apple cider vinegar that I’ve been buying. How would I know if they’re fake? I am worried.

    Comment by Joanna — May 27, 2015 @ 8:45 AM

  74. Hi Joanna,

Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is now lighter due to using apples with lighter skins. We have not changed the aging, however demand has recently increased dramatically! The vinegar used to sit on the shelf longer, and would develop further presence of the “mother”. The “mother” is invisible at first but as it continues to age, the strands become longer and the vinegar will darken.

We hope this answered your question.

  75. Hi Patricia! I’ve the same worries as recent consumers as the ACV went out of stock in most major supermarkets. I managed to purchase one bottle today from an organic store. I understand that the vinegar would be lighter and there is less mother since they haven’t been sitting on the shelves for too long. But the packaging on my bottle is slightly different, though the descriptions are more or less identical. My bottle cap also has an indentation made, which my previous bottle didn’t have. Could you help verify?

Near the base of the bottle, it’s marked: 4340 10:40
And nearer to the cap, it’s marked: Best by Apr 08 2020 GR 16:14

    Much appreciated(!!),
    Loyal but worried consumer

  76. Hi Jo,

This is still the same formula of Bragg Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar! We have slightly changed our packaging, and you are correct in your remarks regarding the color. Your best bet is to store in a cool, dark place away from heat and the Mother of Vinegar will continue to develop nicely.

We are working on scaling up our production to meet the huge increase in demand for our ACV.

    Hope this helps.

  79. Hi Patricia,

I used to drink this brand of ACV daily, and just recently decided to start doing so again. The apple cider vinegar tastes different to me; sweeter, and I’ve noticed there’s less of a mother than there was before in the bottles. I was wondering if the recipe was changed?

    Best wishes,

    Comment by Maya — December 9, 2015 @ 3:31 AM

  80. No, the recipe is the same. Due to the fermentation process, the color and taste may vary.

  81. Hi
My husband has been diagnosed with high blood pressure and is recommended dash diet. Doctor said if that doesn’t come down next 2 months, he will be given medicines. So I started giving him ACV 2 tablespoons along with raw honey in water twice daily. But no change in his pressure readings. How long does it take to get effect. He is taking it for pads 8 days.
