RAISIN COOKIES

1 cup Bragg Organic Olive Oil
Egg Replacer equal to 2 eggs
2 tsps baking powder
⅔ cup soy or rice milk
2 cups raisins
½ cup raw honey or rice syrup
4 cups whole-grain pastry flour
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsps vanilla extract
1 cup walnuts, chop

Blend the olive oil with the honey or rice syrup. Add the Egg Replacer and beat well. Sift flour before measuring and sift three times with the other dry ingredients. Add to the first mixture alternately with the milk. Add vanilla, raisins and nuts. Mix and drop by spoonfuls on an oiled cookie sheet or shallow pan.
Bake at 375°F for about 15 minutes.

Makes 5-6 dozen cookies.

BLACK OLIVE SOUP

4½ cups soy milk
2¼ Tbsps whole-grain flour
shake of Bragg Sprinkle
1½ cups black olives, pitted
1½ Tbsps onion, grate
3 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil
½ cup cooked celery, dice
1 tsp Bragg Liquid Aminos

Sauté onion in 1 tablespoon olive oil. Combine soy milk and onion. Blend in blender. Mix flour in 2 tablespoons olive oil, Liquid Aminos and Sprinkle. Mix with celery and olives. Cook for 10 minutes on low heat.

Serves 6.

Eating a diet rich in plant foods, in the form of fruits, vegetables, and whole grain cereals, probably remains the best option for reducing the risk of colon cancer, and for more greater health protection. – The Lancet, May 3, 2003

Cantaloupe and honeydew share similar nutritional profiles, except for two main differences-vitamin C and beta-carotene. Cantaloupe contains about twice the amount of vitamin C as does honeydew (37 milligrams for 100 gram serving versus 18 milligrams for that same amount) and about 67 times the amount of beta-carotene (2,020 micrograms for 100 gram serving versus 30 micrograms).

BREAST MILK REDUCES INFECTIONS IN BABIES

Breast-feeding seems to provide an immune system boost to infants, helping to prevent respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses in babies, according to new research.

Babies who were breast-fed exclusively for 4 months, and then partially until they were 6 months old, had a reduced risk of respiratory and gastrointestinal infections compared to babies who had never been breast-fed, the Dutch team found.

Jane and I have been friends for many years and I was so excited to have Jane come and visit me the Bragg Farm in Santa Barbara, CA not too long ago. We always have a wonderful time when we see each other and this time was no different. Jane Russell, the legendary movie star has been a Bragg Healthy Lifestyle fan for many many years and she is still staying strong, healthy and beautiful.
