Patricia attended the Grand Opening of Santa Barbara’s new $.99 store on State Street. While at the opening she was interviewed by a local news channel.

“I bought organic black beans and garbanzo beans, some gift wrapping paper, and a new pair of scissors.  In these troubling times, we really needed this new $.99 Store.”

Nature’s Antiseptic Tea Tree Oil

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:00 AM

Nature’s Antiseptic – Tea Tree Oil

An excerpt from my book Build Strong Healthy Feet Banish Aches & Pains.

Oil derived from the Tea Tree leaves can be used for treating skin abrasions, acne, canker sores and foot fungus, says William J. Keller Ph.D., herbal expert and chair of the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy (www.samford.edu). The Tea Tree (melaleuca alternifolia) is a member of the Myrtaceae family and is indigenous to New South Wales, Australia. It was used as a general antiseptic by aboriginal tribes for thousands of years. The name is credited to Captain Cook, who in 1770, brewed the leaves for his men to prevent scurvy. In 1923 clinical trials in Australia provided strong scientific evidence of Tea Tree Oil’s antiseptic and bactericidal properties and its importance made it a standard issue for the Australian Army during World War II.

Here are more tips from Doctor Keller on Treating Athlete’s Foot and Black Toenails using Tea Tree Oil:

Start applying Tea Tree Oil lightly right from bottle. Full strength may over-dry skin. If skin becomes flaky, then dilute oil by mixing 1/3 Tea Tree Oil with
2/3 Bragg Organic Virgin Olive Oil or Jojoba Oil, or mix all 3 oils.

Apply Tea Tree Oil to area 3 times a day. Continue treatment for one week after infection disappears.

A few people might be allergic to Tea Tree Oil,
so use a very small dab the first time to check if you are.

For smelly feet, nightly you can enjoy a Tea Tree Oil foot soak (add 5 to 10 drops to warm water in shallow pan). Great while reading or watching TV, continue until improvement. Use oil along with Tea Tree Foot Powder or Tea Tree Foot Spray, available health stores. For more Tea Tree info see this website : www.teatree.co.uk
