New study links GMOs to Leukemia!

A new study published by the Journal of Hematology & Thromboembolic Diseases has linked Genetically Modified Organisms to development of Leukemia.  The study states that the biopesticides genetically engineered into crops like corn, soy, sugar cane, etc. carry what is known as Bacillus Thuringiensis (Bt), also called Cry-toxins, which contribute to health problems including:

  • Blood abnormalities
  • Hematological malignancies (blood cancers), i.e. leukemia
  • Suppression of bone marrow proliferation
  • Abnormal lymphocyte patterns

CHINESE CABBAGE

CHINESE CABBAGE

1 lb green cabbage, shred

1 tsp Bragg Organic Olive Oil

2 green onions, slice diagonally

½ tsp Chinese 5 Spice

1 Tbsp Bragg Liquid Aminos

sesame oil to taste

Heat olive oil, add cabbage and green onions. Cook for 3-5 minutes, then add Chinese 5 Spice and Liquid Aminos and cook 3 more minutes. Stir in sesame oil to taste and serve.

KUNG PAO TOFU

KUNG PAO TOFU

1 lb firm tofu, drain and cube

Egg Replacer equal to 1 egg

½ tsp Bragg Liquid Aminos

2 tsps corn flour Plum Sauce

2 tsps distilled water

½ tsp red pepper flakes

2 Tbsps Bragg Olive Oil

1 red pepper, slice

2 green onions, slice diagonally

2 Tbsps Sweet and Sour

1 Tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp ginger, mince

1 cup cashews, chop

Mix together Egg Replacer, Liquid Aminos, corn flour and water. Add tofu and mix. Stir fry in 2 Tbsps olive oil until browned. Remove and add pepper flakes, red pepper, onion and ginger. Cook 2 minutes; add cashews and vinegar. Serve with Plum Sauce. Serves 4-6.

PEANUT SAUCE

PEANUT SAUCE

1 Tbsp Bragg Organic Olive Oil

½ cup onion, dice

1 Tbsp fresh ginger, mince

¼ tsp cayenne (optional)

¼ – ½ cup hot distilled water

½ cup natural peanut butter

1 tsp Bragg Liquid Aminos

1 Tbsp molasses

juice of 1 lemon

honey to taste

Sauté onion in olive oil 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir until blended. Add hot water to thin sauce. Makes 2 cups.

TOFU AND SPINACH WITH PEANUT SAUCE

TOFU AND SPINACH WITH PEANUT SAUCE

1 lb firm tofu, drain and cube

1 Tbsp Bragg Liquid Aminos

1 clove garlic, mince

Peanut Sauce

1 tsp fresh ginger, mince

2 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil

1 lb spinach, chop

Mix tofu with Liquid Aminos, garlic and ginger. Stir-fry in olive oil until brown. Remove from pan and keep warm. Add spinach to pan and heat just until limp. Arrange on a platter and top with tofu. Serve with Peanut Sauce. Serves 4-6.
