PEAS BASQUE

2 lbs tender young peas
4 leaves Romaine lettuce
1 Tbsp Bragg Organic Olive Oil
shake of Bragg Sprinkle

Place olive oil in saucepan, add peas, Sprinkle and cover with lettuce leaves that have been rinsed in cold water. Cook over low heat until peas are tender.

Serves 4-6.

SKIN BEAUTIFUL SALAD – RAW FOOD

1 carrot, grate
1 turnip, grate
3 radishes, slice
2 apples, core, chop
Fresh lemon juice (to taste)
Bragg Sprinkle (to taste)
2 Tbsps green peas, shelled
1 tomato
1 cup mixed baby lettuce, torn
Bragg Ginger & Sesame Dressing

Put carrot, turnip, apple and sliced radishes in salad bowl. Add lettuce leaves and green peas. Cut un-peeled tomato into small pieces. Mix in with vegetables and lettuce. Add Sprinkle and lemon juice. Toss with Ginger Dressing (to taste).

Serves 2-4.

PEAS IN ONION SAUCE

2 lbs peas, shelled
2 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil
1 red onion, finely chop
shake of Bragg Sprinkle

Cook peas until tender, about 5 minutes, in a small amount of water. Sauté chopped onion in olive oil. Add cooked peas
and Sprinkle. Heat slowly in a covered pan.

Serves 4.

PEAS & CARROTS WITH 24 HERBS & SPICES

2 cups peas, shelled
1 cup carrots, grated
½ tsp of Bragg Sprinkle
2 tsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil

Cook peas, carrots and Sprinkle (24 herbs & spices) in small amount of water until tender. Add olive oil and serve.
Serves 2.

PEAS WITH LETTUCE AND HERBS

PEAS WITH LETTUCE AND HERBS

4 cups shelled tender green peas
3 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil
1 small head romaine lettuce
¼ cup scallions, mince
1 tsp raw honey
¼ cup parsley, chopped
⅓ tsp of Bragg Sprinkle (24 herbs & spices)

Heat olive oil in heavy skillet. Lay romaine leaves on bottom of pan. Place peas, scallions, Sprinkle, parsley and honey over peas, well-distributed. Cover entire mixture with romaine leaves. Cover and simmer over low heat, adding 4 cup water when necessary to avoid dryness. Cook until peas are tender. Add more oil just before serving.

Serves 6.

PEAS EN CASSEROLE

PEAS EN CASSEROLE

4 small red onions, dice
½ tsp mint, chop
1 cup hot distilled water
2 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil
4 cups fresh, can or frozen peas
½ tsp Bragg Sprinkle

Place onions, peas, Sprinkle, olive oil, water and mint in casserole dish. Cover and cook in 350°F oven for 20
minutes. Serve from the casserole dish.

Serves 5-6.

CREAMED PEA SOUP

CREAMED PEA SOUP

2 to 2½ Tbsps onion, mince
2 Tbsps Bragg Olive Oil
2 Tbsps whole-grain flour
1½ cups silken tofu
1 Tbsp Bragg Liquid Aminos
Bragg Sprinkle (to taste)
pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
1 cup vegetable stock
1 Tbsp watercress, garnish pinch of paprika
1 cup fresh raw or canned cooked or blended peas
4 teaspoon dried sweet basil
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh mint

Sauté onion in olive oil. Place in double boiler; blend with flour until smooth. Add liquids. Cook until slightly thickened and smooth. Add cooked or raw blended vegetables, herbs, tofu and Sprinkle. Garnish with paprika, watercress & mint.

Serves 4.
