Ingredients

1 tablespoon Bragg olive oil

1/4 cup yellow onion, finely chopped

1 garlic clove, minced

1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced

2 cups ketchup

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 /2 cup Bragg apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup apple juice
-
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 tablespoon Bragg liquid aminos

1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
-
1/2 teaspoon cayenne

1 /2 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
In this recipe:
- Heat Bragg Olive Oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and jalapeño pepper and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes or until onion is translucent.
- Add ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, apple juice, honey, Bragg liquid aminos, celery seed, cayenne, salt and pepper. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.
- Use immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
